Delivering high quality care, support and enablement services* for people with a range of physical and/or mental health conditions, including learning disabilities and dementia (AND all of their carers), Making Space is at the heart of the transformation that is taking place in the world of secondary health care. 

We've been around for 30 years now helping many people to take part in stimulating everyday activities and many others, step by step, towards their personal ambitions. 

Making Space embraces personalisation - helping the people who use our services to be in control of their own lives.

Making Space ensures that our accommodation based services are comfortable, safe, set in a pleasant environment and are staffed by the most dedicated and qualified people.

Making Space offers people routes into inclusive employment, education & training, and champions innovative treatments - such as Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CCBT).

Making Space takes an approach to dementia which enables people to stay doing what they always did for as long as possible.

Making Space encourages people with learning disabilities to take a full and active role in all that society has to offer.

Making Space helps the friends, families and other carers of the people who use our services to support their loved ones and find some well deserved respite.

All of this can only happen through the enthusiastic commitment of the people who use our services, their carers, social care commissioners and, where relevant, housing associations - in partnership with our dedicated employees and volunteers.

*In early 2012 Making Space expanded its service provision.....to encompass the relief of people who are in need by reason of any physical or mental illness or disability arising from age, accident, disease or infection including, without limitation, learning disabilities and dementia, and the relief of their families and other carers.
