Carer Groups
What is a Making Space Group?
Local Support groups allow carers to meet on a regular basis to discuss their caring role, socialise, share information and offer each other support.
The main purpose of Making Space local carer groups is to provide mutual support and work with others who care for someone experiencing a mental health problem.
Many people see their local support group as a safe place to ask questions and raise concerns about what they are experiencing.
Most groups meet once a month for a couple of hours, usually at the same location. However, some groups do vary the days, times and location of their meetings.
