Learning and development
Our learning and development programme for employees and volunteers includes a blend of different learning methods and courses, including:
- Competency-based learning such as diplomas and NVQs
- Professional development courses
We also encourage our employees to consider alternative methods of learning, such as on-the-job coaching, mentoring, team briefings, action learning sets and peer-to-peer coaching.
In 2014, we had over a thousand 'bums on seats' at the 81 courses that we delivered.
More than 30 people enrolled on a relevant diploma/apprenticeship to help them progress in their role, and we celebrated 35 employees who achieved their qualification during this time.
