Payment Accounts
Many of the people who use Making Space services are already paying for those services direct. As part of personalised services we can help you understand how you can make your own direct payments.
What is a Personal budget?
It’s a clear, up-front allocation of money that you can use to choose and pay for the social care support you need.
What is an Individual budget?
It’s similar to a personal budget but is made up of money from a number of different funding streams, as well as social care money. These funding streams may include Supporting People and the Independent Living Fund.
What are Direct Payments?
Basically, instead of the council delivering your support, Direct Payments are allocated to your Personal Budget. These are cash payments, made directly to you, putting you in control of which services you need and want.
If you need to know what money is available for ongoing care and welfare, or help to draw up a budget, or access to any or all of the services, please call 01925 581798 and speak to Annette Taylor who will be happy to point you in the right direction.
