Cheshire mental health nurse in running for 2 awards
A registered mental health nurse from Wilmslow is celebrating after being shortlisted for 2 national awards.
Joby Raju, 42, is in the finals for both the National Dementia Care Awards and the North West Care Awards.
He works at specialist dementia hospital Monet Lodge in Withington, South Manchester, which is operated by adult health and social care charity Making Space.
Mr Raju has been clinical lead there for eight years, during which the 20-bed unit has become a centre of excellence and was recently rated as “outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission.
Prior to becoming clinical lead at Monet Lodge, he spent four years at Eden Mansions Nursing and Residential Home in Styal, then known as Southfield Manor Care Home.
