Beyer Lodge Nursing Home

Beyer Lodge is a registered care home providing nursing, care, treatment and reablement for up to 16 older people with a primary diagnosis of severe and enduring mental health and other associated care needs. We work in partnership with you, your carers, families and other professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for you.

Our emphasis is on supporting you as an individual. We offer a varied and stimulating programme of therapies and daily activities designed to meet your needs and wishes, promote reablement and enhance your quality of life through quality care.

Person-centred care

Our motivated, caring and multi-disciplinary team of staff provide you with the appropriate care to stabilise your mental health conditions, with the intention of then moving you to a more appropriate, longer term setting once your symptoms have improved and become more manageable. However, we understand that given the complex needs, this aim may not always be possible for certain individuals.

You will receive a comprehensive, individualised care plan developed by your named nurse and in conjunction with our care team.

This details the physical and psychological aspects of care to be delivered, and is part of our person-centred package that encourages participation in our care planning process.

We're set in our own spacious and attractive gardens, and our inner city location means we're close to a variety of local services, shops, and parks, as well as being easy to access.

We offer you your own individually decorated and personalised bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. All our bedrooms come equipped with telephone points, digital TV points, and access to Wi-fi. Pets are also welcome with the prior agreement of the manager.

We provide a varied choice of menus, freshly prepared and nutritious meals to meet your dietary, religious and cultural needs, wishes and preferences.

Mealtimes can be enjoyed in the company of others in our 2 dining areas, or in the privacy of your own room

We have homely and comfortable communal areas including a lounge with a TV, video, DVD player, game consoles and Wi-fi, as well as quiet areas where you can read and relax.

Referrals must be made by secondary mental health services and, wherever possible, be discussed and agreed with the service user and/or family/carer.

Discharge planning will be discussed on admission and action taken to ensure that the person can be discharged seamlessly to a suitable environment as identified through the CPA process.
