Andrew joined our Board of Trustees in March 2025, bringing over 30 years of experience in housing, care, and support services. He is passionate about person-centred approaches and is committed to helping people lead full, meaningful lives.
Andrew has worked at Board and Executive level for more than 15 years. He is currently part of the leadership team at Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH), where he oversees a large and diverse housing portfolio supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, those experiencing homelessness, and families fleeing domestic abuse. He is also a Director of MTVH’s Safeguarding and Quality Panel, where he plays a key role in overseeing regulated activity and championing high standards of service for vulnerable residents.
A former nurse, Andrew brings deep sector knowledge and a strong focus on quality, governance and customer engagement. He has successfully led major service improvements, introduced customer champion schemes, and driven up satisfaction and performance through a values-led approach. He is particularly passionate about embedding lived experience into service design and decision-making, and ensuring that individuals and communities are empowered to shape the services they receive.
Andrew has expert knowledge of supported housing, property compliance, and service commissioning. He has led complex audits, secured major funding bids, and worked in partnership with local authorities, health commissioners, and housing providers to deliver high-quality, safe and sustainable services. His strategic insight, commercial acumen and commitment to robust governance make him a valuable asset to the Board.
Andrew is proud to be part of Making Space and is inspired by its values – especially its commitment to kindness, courage and dreaming big. He brings a shared belief in the potential of every person and a drive to ensure services reflect what truly matters to the people who use them.
Andrew enjoys being part of the East Midlands Executive Forum for the National Housing Federation and is a long-time advocate for quality, inclusive communities where everyone can thrive.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys attending live music events, from small gigs to festivals and a craft beer. He also spends much of his spare time renovating an old gatehouse, which he and his family are restoring as their forever home.
