It's estimated that there are 5 million unpaid carers at in England and Wales. This means that around 9% of people are providing unpaid care.
If you choose to support someone with a long term health condition or disability, we can help you to do so, without it having a negative impact on your life.
Our carer support workers can offer advice on everything from finance and welfare to medication and possible side effects. Our teams can also provide or signpost you to a range of local activities and support groups, including peer support and leisure and social activities and we can even offer you the chance to recharge your batteries by taking a carer break.
We have a variety of carer support services and groups, helping carers to have more balance in life. Some of our carers support services are specific to the person you are caring for, such as someone living with dementia or with a mental health condition, and some are available to anyone in a caring role.
We have and always will listen to what carers tell us they need and adapt support accordingly.
Our carers services
Our community day services offer a safe and welcoming environment for carers to visit in your local community. Whether you need an extra bit of support, advice around health and wellbeing, or want to meet new people, our services are open to you.
