Ellesmere Port residents celebrate local heritage at Port Histories project finale
Residents at Hollymere and Hartley Place have spent the past year celebrating Ellesmere Port’s working-class heritage through the Port Histories Project. Funded by Historic England, the project ended with a joyful finale event attended by the Mayor of Ellesmere Port.

Funding boost from The Cambridge Building Society Community Fund to support unpaid carers facing domestic abuse
Making Space has been awarded a £3,000 grant from The Cambridge Building Society Community Fund to support unpaid carers in Cambridgeshire who are experiencing domestic abuse. The funding will help cover emergency accommodation and transport costs for up to 50 individuals in crisis.

A newly unveiled artwork at Royal Bolton Hospital, is shining a spotlight on the vital role of carers and volunteers. Created by Ian Peters, a volunteer from our Bolton Carers Service, the piece now proudly hangs in the renovated carers’ room — a space dedicated to supporting those who care for loved ones receiving mental health treatment.
