Celebrating our 73 apprentices this National Apprenticeship Week 2026

We are proud to support the 19th National Apprenticeship Week (9-15 February), a week-long celebration that brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
This year, the theme for National Apprenticeship Week is 'Skills for Life,' highlighting how apprenticeships can help individuals develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and employers to develop a workforce with future-ready skills.
We are proud to have approximately 73 active apprentices across Making Space, participating in various apprenticeship programs, including our Care Apprenticeships across levels 2 to 5, Community Health and Wellbeing Workers, Fundraising, Data Analysis and Chartered Manager degree apprenticeships.

Here is an insight from one of our current apprentices as they share their experiences:
Stephen, Service Manager at Manchester South Supported Housing, began his apprenticeship journey to progress his career and play a more active role in shaping how people are supported in adult social care. After completing his Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker apprenticeship in June 2025, Stephen developed strong time management and prioritisation skills that helped him manage his workload more effectively, delegate with confidence, and focus on higher-impact responsibilities.
With dedicated support from his manager and Paragon assessor, Stephen completed his apprenticeship in just four months. The skills and confidence he gained enabled him to successfully apply for a Service Manager position, and he has since continued his development by enrolling on the Level 5 Leader in Adult Care apprenticeship.
My apprenticeship helped me grow both professionally and personally. It made me more aware of how I manage my time and helped me challenge habits like procrastination and unrealistic expectations. My advice to anyone considering an apprenticeship is to plan your time carefully, block out dedicated learning time, and speak to colleagues, their experience can really support your development. With the right structure and support, progression feels achievable.
