Fashion show raises money to support day out for people in Widnes and Runcorn supported living services

A lively afternoon of fashion, fun and fundraising in Widnes has raised around £840 to support people living in Making Space’s supported living services across Widnes and Runcorn.

The Pop-Up Shop & Fun Fashion Show, held at Upton Community Centre and organised in partnership with Colours Fundraising Fashion Shows, brought together guests for an afternoon of entertainment, shopping and community spirit.

Guests enjoyed browsing a wide selection of high street fashion brands at heavily discounted prices while taking in the fun and interactive fashion show, led by Colours’ manager Rob, who kept the audience entertained as compère and ensured everyone felt involved throughout the event.

The event proved so popular that several attendees have already asked if it will be returning again in the future.

The funds raised will go towards a special day out to Blackpool Zoo for people supported by Making Space’s Halton Supported Living services, including lunch and an evening meal.

Vicky Morin, Making Space Halton Supported Living Registered Service Manager, said:

It was a lovely afternoon and everyone who came enjoy themselves. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, supported the raffle and helped make the event such a success. This trip will give everyone the chance to spend time together and create some really special memories.

Making Space would also like to thank Colours Fundraising Fashion Shows for their fantastic support in organising the event and helping to make the afternoon such a success.

Making Space will also be hosting another Pop-Up Shop & Fun Fashion Show on Friday 27 March at Stockroom in Merseyway, Stockport, with funds raised supporting local Making Space services in the area. Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased online here.
