- Specialist support for older people
- Practical help at home
- Care and carer support
- Transport options
- Wellbeing and lifestyle advice
- Social groups and activities
- …and much more. Just ask your friendly Community Navigator!
Our Community Navigator Team offer person centred support, helping people to live well and achieve their individual outcomes. The team use their local knowledge to link people in with services and use their knowledge and expertise to provide advice, information, guidance and signposting.
Our service is funded and monitored by Cambridgeshire County Council. All our staff complete extensive training, including Information, Advice and Guidance qualifications.
Last year, we helped with 11,592 navigations — and each year more than 95% of people tell us they were happy with the support they received.

Community Car Schemes
Community Car Schemes are a lifeline for people who might otherwise struggle to get to medical appointments, do their shopping, or stay connected with family and friends. Volunteer drivers use their own cars to provide these journeys, and passengers make a small contribution towards costs at a set rate per mile.
We can connect you with your nearest independently run scheme. Most schemes support one-off journeys, which are arranged through a volunteer coordinator, and many rely on drivers from within the local village or community.
As this is a volunteer-led service, driver availability can vary, so it’s important to book your journey as far in advance as possible.
To find out more about your local scheme—including contact details and the types of journeys covered—please get in touch with your district Community Navigator.
Referrals
You can contact us directly to make a self-referral using the details above, or ask a professional to refer you.
For professionals making a referral, please select the area where the person you support lives and fill in our referral form.
If you’re not sure which district they’re in, email us at community.navigators@care-network.org.uk.
