It's estimated that there are 800,000 young carers aged 5-17 caring for an adult or family member in England.
Our Cheshire East Young Carers’ Hub helps to ensure that young carers between the ages of 5 and 18 years old are identified and provided with support in their caring role.
Our goal is to ensure the people who deliver this vital unpaid care have access to all the support they need, and are able to give time and attention to their own wellbeing.
Our dedicated young carers support workers take time to listen to concerns of young carers and identify what could make a difference to their caring role through a Young Carers Assessment. Our carer support workers can also provide young carers with the information and training about the illness of disability of the person they are caring for, as well as help to access advice and support for their cared for.
Our service offers young carers the opportunity to connect with others who share similar caregiving experiences through engaging group activities and events, allowing carers to build a supportive network of peers while also enjoying some well deserved fun.
